CT has signed a cooperation agreement with the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), world leader in business research and development, to promote R&D in new technology and sustainability.

The agreement came about through collaboration in the ALARAD R&D project, which is an ongoing initiative focusing on precision vine-growing, with the aim of improving decision-making based on data obtained through sensors, satellite imagery and drones.

This is the first time the Korean institute has signed a framework agreement with a private Spanish company, accounting for a milestone in cooperation between the two countries in innovation.

CT, leading engineering company in technology innovation throughout the entire product lifecycle, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, a top level entity in Korea and a strategic technology partner for sustainable development of companies. Signing of the agreement took place on 30th August at PeƱafiel Castle in Valladolid, within the framework of a meeting held by all the companies participating in the ALARAD project. The agreement was signed by CTā€™s CEO, Vicente Egea, and KETIā€™s president, Hee-Dong Shin.

ā€œIn an industrial context that is constantly changing, exploring and anticipating new trends in technology is the key to success. Innovating and empowering our employees and customers with new tools is part of our DNAā€, explained Vicente Egea. ā€œWe are pleased to start this collaboration with the team at KETI, and together build a solid basis for R&D on future technologies. Counting on KETIā€™s support is a great opportunity for us to access and implement our solutions in new sectors.ā€

The agreement establishes mutually defined strategic objectives, including an exchange of knowledge and skills, and also to promote interest in research on some cutting-edge technologies on the market. The two organisations will focus on areas such as automation and smart mobility, sustainability and green energy, Industry 5.0, artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector and Metaverse technologies, among others.

Their objectives also include collaborating in bilateral and international programmes and projects, and to strengthen the links with the community of researchers and experts in the sector through the organisation of conferences, seminars, institutional exchange programmes and workshops.

Through this collaboration, CT widens its global ecosystem of technology partners at world level, thus consolidating its position as a leading company in technological solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

CT and KETI are currently working on a precision vine-growing project called ALARAD, along with other Spanish and international partners, including Bodegas BohĆ³rquez, as industrial partner, Naretrends Inc., Daliworks Inc., Sejong University and Kyungpook National University, whose representatives also attended the official signing event.

The event has counted with the extraordinary collaboration of the PeƱafiel Town Council, represented by the councillor of Tourism Yolanda Burgoa DurƔn, and the PeƱafiel Castle, home of the Wine Museum, represented by the director of the museum, Vƭctor FernƔndez Ortiz. The museum kindly provided its meeting room as the venue for this event, and also organised a guided tour of the castle for the attendees.
