CT, a leading engineering company in technological innovation throughout the product life cycle, has received the prestigious Excellence Award from the German Chamber of Commerce, in the category of the “most comprehensive project”, in recognition of its initiative “Forging the future: Engineering with soul”. The award was presented this afternoon at the emblematic Llotja de Mar convention center in Barcelona, in a ceremony presided over by representatives of the German Chamber of Commerce and the Consul General of the German Embassy. Fernando Corominas, Head of People & Culture of CT, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The award-winning project has been recognized as an example of CT’s good practice in Human Resources, “for its great work in finding, motivating, training and retaining talent in the company”, in the words of the jury. Through this project, CT reinforces its strategy focused on attracting and developing young engineering talent, promoting collaboration between universities and companies, and betting on innovation and sustainability in technological projects. It also promotes the welfare and professional development of its employees.
During his acceptance speech, Fernando Corominas said that “since our beginnings, we have strived to create a culture in which each person not only contributes the best of themselves, but also finds an environment in which to grow and develop their full potential”.
To this he added: “We are more than an engineering company: we are a team committed to technical excellence, constant innovation and, above all, to people”. We have the firm conviction that, with a clear vision and a committed team, we can continue to forge the future, and we will do so with the same enthusiasm with which we began.”
In this 13th edition of the Excellence Award, the theme of which was “Talent. Training. Employment”, the German Chamber of Commerce has evaluated criteria such as the impact on the employee in Spain, the impact on job qualification and possible repercussion on product quality or customer satisfaction, collaboration with vocational training centers and universities, and the degree of innovation and success in the implementation of the projects presented.
Commitment to talent and society
The prize received by the winners, which includes an economic endowment of €5,000, has been donated in its entirety to Pinardi, a Federation of Salesian Social Platforms. This entity develops social projects aimed at vulnerable groups, with the aim of promoting equal opportunities through comprehensive education, training and socio-occupational integration, and awareness of new situations of social exclusion.
CT has shared the podium of this edition together with other outstanding companies who won in their respective categories, among them, HARIBO, BENTELER and Makro.
This award reinforces CT’s commitment to excellence in talent management and social responsibility, reaffirming its role as one of the leading companies in the engineering sector in Spain.
